True spontaneity is a luxury few enjoy. The Bentley Continental GT was conceived, designed and built for those who do – that rare breed of people who refuse to let a single experience pass them by.

The new Continental GT sees its most significant upgrade for half a decade. It introduces a re-styled cabin and bodywork as well as refinements to driver and passenger comfort that takes the world’s most stylish grand tourer to unparalleled new heights.
The range is made up of the even more powerful GT, the supreme GT Speed, the luxurious V8 and the agile V8 S. All available in a choice of coupé or convertible.

One thing we should get out of the way: Bentley claims its topless two-door is the “stiffest convertible in the world.” That might be true, at least empirically speaking, but in practice, the V-8 S has more quivers than we’d like in a modern drop top. Things improve somewhat in the softest of the GTC V-8 S’s four suspension firmness settings. But crank up the stiffness and drop the shift lever into “S”—these set the convertible up for maximum attack—and the dash, the rearview mirror, and the steering column do a subdued jig while traveling through even moderately bumpy corners.

The V-8 S convertible rides on the same 20-inch Pirelli P Zero tires as the V-8 S coupe does but saddles their sidewalls with an extra 398 pounds. Despite this, the convertible feels massively more agile than its 12-cylinder siblings.
